Serving as Director of Marketing & Communications and a member of the Executive Management Team of the
North Shore-Barrington Association of REALTORS® (NSBAR) — I was involved in organization-wide strategic and business planning, programming, events staging, and professional development initiatives. Created, implemented, and evaluated the overall effectiveness of a multi-channel communications strategy. Increased awareness of NSBAR’s unique value proposition, while supporting the Association’s aggressive Strategic Plan and amplifying overall Member engagement.
Significant Accomplishments:
Executed a sweeping omnichannel brand refresh for NSBAR — distilling and reorganizing the Association’s narrative for greater impact, along with repositioning the venerable 100+-year-old organization as a modern, vibrant trade association poised for dynamic future growth with an emphasis on NSBAR’s distinct competitive advantages.

Re-imagined an integrated NSBAR Communications Eco System to help inform association members of critical developments and foster connection with NSBAR programming, services, and events. This included a new NSBAR digital experience which featured a mobile-optimized website and convenient texting communications integrations. Additionally, expanded NSBAR’s social media footprint by increasing channels, and frequency and growing ever-larger audiences for these messages.

Re-invigorated NSBAR Events as a primary tool for connecting the association’s membership — and Strategic Partners —
both in-person and online, with compelling programming.

Conceived and produced NSBAR's Centennial Celebration, including the largest in-person gathering in the Association's 100-year history. With an understanding that events can be more than mere parties — that they are indeed the very essence of brand expression at an inimitable, visceral & deeply personal level, where "everything speaks" — this singular occasion was a spectacular "brand-launch" that embraced guests at every turn with the "New NSBAR."

Delivered significant Non-Dues Revenue — (nearly $100k in 2022 alone) — to the association through the development of the thriving NSBAR Strategic Partner Program. These vital funds were used to offset event programming expenses and increase the reach of the association’s mission.

Established the NSBAR Ambassador Program — empowering key stakeholders to evangelize the organizational narrative with a unified voice. This included provisioning NSBAR Ambassadors with a unique set of paired traditional and digital tools to assist these brand evangelists in reaching an ever-broader audience.

Created NSBAR Cares — the association’s philanthropic initiative to illuminate the philanthropic efforts of the membership and to leverage a collective ability to support a wide range of local charities and community-based causes.

Developed NSBAR Studios to provide the association with in-house AV capabilities in order to produce an array of video programming and podcasts. This proved tremendously effective in countering significant challenges posed by COVID-19 — as new digital programming empowered the association to provide continuity to its members in lieu of in-person education and events.
